The sending of remittances in 2021 set an annual record for Tamaulipas.
The arrival of remittances to Tamaulipas in 2021 set a historic figure for the entity , exceeding 1,128 million dollars processed by workers in the United States for their families . This placed the state in the 19th national position with the highest foreign exchange earnings in the last fiscal year. Within the last report issued by the Bank of Mexico (Banxico ), the average reached by inhabitants in the entity in the northeast of the country was around 319.9 dollars . In the quarter from October to December , US$293.5 million landed through various forms of shipment , a reduction to what was registered between July and the previous September. In the annual trend , one thousand 128 million dollars exceed the mark of 2020 , when it ended at 944 million of the North American currency .
